Evelyn Sosa

Welcome to the new school year at Academia Avance 2021-2022. I look forward to a great year of academics and learning. I will be teaching CTE Finance to our juniors and seniors. I look forward to meeting the new students and seeing our returning students. 

My name is Evelyn Sosa, I was born in Los Angeles CA.  I grew up around Maywood, Bell and Bell Gardens.  I went to schools in both LAUSD and MUSD.  Math is one of my favorite subjects and one way or another it has been a part of my life.  I have my BS in Business Administration. I worked for a company for about 7 years where my last position was the Senior Accounting Associate.  I was also involved in all of the marketing events for the company and enjoyed planning customer events and working on the social media sites.  Event planning is how I express my creative side and now I enjoy planning events for students. I decided it was time for a change and go into a field that was more rewarding. This year will be my seventh year teaching at Avance and I am very excited to work with everyone!
